Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: June 2025
LearnKeenly is reader-supported and independent. To keep the site running and free to read, some of the links here are affiliate or referral links. This page explains exactly what that means, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) endorsement guidelines and equivalent rules elsewhere. Transparency matters to me, so here is the full picture.
1. What an affiliate link is
An affiliate (or referral) link is a special link that lets a company know you arrived from LearnKeenly. If you click one of these links and then sign up for or purchase a product, I may earn a small commission or account credit. This never costs you anything extra — you pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise. The commission, when it happens, comes out of the company's marketing budget, not your pocket.
2. Which programs this site participates in
LearnKeenly participates, or may participate, in the affiliate and referral programs of the products it writes about. This currently includes, and may in future include:
- Grammarly — through its official affiliate program (operated via an affiliate network). Some links to Grammarly on this site may be affiliate links.
- Brevo — through its referral program. Links to Brevo are referral links.
- Other writing and productivity tools — where I join their affiliate programs, the same disclosure applies.
Where a link is an affiliate or referral link, I aim to make that clear at or near the link, and a short disclosure also appears at the top of articles that contain such links.
3. My promise: opinions are not for sale
This is the part that matters most. The presence of an affiliate link never changes what I write. I review tools based on my own genuine experience using them, with my own money, on real work. I write honestly about a tool's weaknesses as readily as its strengths — you will find plenty of criticism throughout this site, including of tools I link to. I do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews, I do not let any company approve or edit my articles, and an affiliate relationship does not guarantee a product a favourable mention. If I stop recommending something, I will say so, affiliate link or not.
4. Why I use affiliate links at all
Running a website costs time and money: hosting, an email platform, the subscriptions to every tool I test. Affiliate commissions, where they occur, help cover those costs and let the site stay free, ad-light, and free of sponsored "advertorial" content. In other words, modest affiliate income is what lets me keep the site honest rather than cluttering it with display ads or paid placements. If you find an article useful and choose to sign up through one of my links, that genuinely supports the work — and I am grateful. You are, of course, completely free to visit any of these tools directly without using my links.
5. Independence and trademarks
LearnKeenly is an independent publication. It is not owned by, operated by, affiliated with, sponsored by, authorised by, or endorsed by Grammarly, QuillBot, Brevo, or any other company whose products it reviews, beyond participating in their standard public affiliate or referral programs. All product names, logos, and brands mentioned on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and descriptive purposes only. Their use does not imply any endorsement of LearnKeenly by those owners, or any partnership beyond an ordinary affiliate relationship where one exists.
6. Your trust comes first
The entire value of this site rests on you being able to trust what you read. An affiliate commission is worth nothing to me if it costs me your trust. That is why this disclosure exists, why it is written plainly, and why the reviews stay honest regardless of who pays a commission. If you ever feel a recommendation here is not straight with you, please tell me at support@learnkeenly.com — I take that seriously.
7. Questions
If anything about how this site is funded is unclear, I am happy to explain. Email support@learnkeenly.com and I will answer personally.
